DOAS: Made in Your Community

At Dreams of a Scientist we want to show you that anyone can be a scientist! Made in Your Community, a project sponsored by the Skype a Scientist IRL grant and led by Angelique Allen and Bridget Vincent, is doing that by introducing communities to the science that is done by their neighbor, their friend's friend, or the person next to them in line at a brewery or coffee shop. To share both the research and the scientists who are making these discoveries, we are creating two sided prints that you can find in local coffee shops and breweries. On the front side of the print we are combining scientific images with art to highlight a marine animal, and on the back side we are highlighting the local scientist and their work on said animal.
